Everandanontheywouldbegtobeexcusedfromwork,orstartmakingcomplaintsoftheseverityofthebarstchina。Indeed,theywereterriblefolk!However,Tientietnikovabolishedthemajorityofthetithesoflinen,hedgefruit,mushrooms,andnuts,andalsoreducedbyone-halfothertaskspropertothewomen,inthehopethattheywoulddevotetheirsparetimetotheirowndomesticconcerns——namely,tosewingandmending,andtomakingclothesfortheirhusbands,andtoincreasingtheareaoftheirkitchengardens。Yetnosuchresultcameabout。Onthecontrary,suchapitchdidtheidleness,thequarrelsomeness,andtheintriguingandcaballingofthefairsexattainthattheirhelpmeetswereforevercomingtothebarinwitharequestthathewouldridoneoranotherofhiswife,sinceshehadbecomeanuisance,andtolivewithherwasimpossible。
