Shehadmadealongpausebeforetheexclamation,andthepauseseemedtobefilledbyagitatingthoughtsthatshowedthemselvesinherfeatures。Herpalefacebecamepaler;thecirclesunderhereyesdeepened,astheydidwhentearshalf-gatherwithoutfalling;andthemildlovingeyestookanexpressionofappalledpity,asifshehadsuddenlydiscernedadestroyingangelhoveringovertheheadsofthepeople。Hervoicebecamedeepandmuffled,buttherewasstillnogesture。NothingcouldbelessliketheordinarytypeoftheRanterthanDinah。Shewasnotpreachingassheheardotherspreach,butspeakingdirectlyfromherownemotionsandundertheinspirationofherownsimplefaith。
