andthosehugemountainstheycalledtheWallofStrife,evenastheyontheothersidecalledthemtheWalloftheWorld。 Sothetwaintookleaveoftheirfriendsthere,andhowbeitthattheyhaddrunkoftheWellattheWorld’sEnd,yetweretheirheartsgrievedattheparting。Thekindfolkleftwiththemabundantprovisionfortheremnantoftheroad,andasumpter-oxtobearit; forhedeemedthatitcouldbenoneotherthantheSageofSwevenham; andUrsulacameprickingafterhimlaughingforjoy。 Theoldmanabodetheircoming,andRalphleaptoffhishorseatonce,andkissedandembracedhim;buttheSagesaid: “Thereisnoneedtoasktheeoftidings;forthineeyesandthinewholebodytellmethatthouhastdrunkoftheWellattheWorld’sEnd。 Andthatshallbebetterfortheebelikethanithasbeenforme;
