relieveusweek，andwiththatIpulledoutabankbillof#20
andelevenguineas，whichItoldhimIhadsavedoutof

littleincome，andthatbytheaccountthatcreaturehadgiven
meofthewayoflivinginthatcountry，Iexpecteditwould

standinhiseyes，thathewouldnottouchit；thatheabhorred
thethoughtsofstrippingmeandmakememiserable；that，on
thecontrary，hehadfiftyguineasleft，whichwasallhehadin
theworld，andhepulleditoutandthrewitdownonthetable，
