Justasthispartofthemountainwasknockedoff，theghostoftheCape，thattremendousspritewhichcutssuchafigureintheLusiad，wasdiscoveredsittingsquatinanexcavationformedforhiminthecentreofthemountain。Heseemedjustlikeayoungbeeinhislittlecellbeforehecomesforth，orlikeabeaninabean—pod;andwhentheupperpartofthemountainwassplitacrossandknockedoff，thesuperiorhalfofhispersonwasdiscovered。Heappearedofabottle—
